First of all Clow is a best selling author so my opinions are my own and I don't want to disrespect her and her opinions at all. That said I have a real problem with this book so far. José and Lloydine Argüelles, initiators of Harmonic Convergence, cocreators of Dreamspell: The Journey of Timeship Earth 2013, and world coordinators of the Thirteen Moon Calendar Change Peace PlanCiting a myth from the California Sierra and Paiute tribes, the author shares the story of the Grizzly Sisters and the Deer Sisters (Pleiades). “One day Grizzly mother ate Deer mother. Deer sisters retaliated by trapping Grizzly sisters in a cave.” To truly understand the pleiadians and their symbolic meaning, it’s important to look at all the different mythologies and see that while they differ, they also hold similar themes. The Pleiades in Ancient Greek Cosmology Don Juan thinks that in the course of human evolution, our ancestors became too fixated on trying to know intent objectively, as though it could be studied as something separate from human awareness. The more they tried, the more elusive it became. He says that the average person’s intent is practically dead. Realizing that they begin with a nonfunctional intent, Toltecs begin awakening it by performing a single action that is “deliberate, precise, and sustained.” Repeating the act long enough produces unbending intent ( Fire, 179). I ran across this book in the New Age section of the Barns and Ignoble book store. It caught my eye because of a video I saw of Clow talking about the Mayan Calendar. She was explaining how the calendar worked and that a Swedish Biologist Named Carl Johan Calleman had found the key that explains how the calender works. Problem with that is my understanding of her interpretation of his work leads me to believe they are both in LaLa land. What she said about his theory does not coincide with the little bit of research I have done about the calendar and the fossil record. Truth be told I was following her line of reasoning until she stated that the Pleiadians ( the little space men in her head ( my words) ) told her that everybody that can’t come up to speed with accessing nine dimensions by 2012 will turn into trees.This is a small sample of Pleiadian myth and symbolism. This relatively tiny star cluster has taken on proportionally huge significance in almost every ancient tradition and cosmology. Perhaps we instinctively assign great significance to the Pleiades because we have a place for them in our collective consciousness — for now, we don’t know why, but perhaps we’ll find out as consciousness evolves.
