About this deal

I understand that my lnb will be upgraded to a two output wideband, but I still wish to access Freesat via my TV for which I will need a hybrid lnb.

It's connected to the dish via aerial cable and previously had no issues picking up the free to air channels. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. The GW2LB has two outlets, one carrying all the horizontally polarized signals and the other the vertical. An eight-output or octo, hybrid quad or 6 port, standard dual or twin and quad LNBs are some of the current market offerings.

Ever since upgrading from Sky+ to SkyQ on our TVs downstairs, we've lost signal on our LG TV upstairs that has Freesat built in. It is designed to fit standard dishes with a 40mm collar or MK4 dishes with the adaptor supplied(AE8070 SKY Zone 1 Dishface or AE8075 SKY Zone 2 Dishface). LEVEL: The LNB has a smalll spirit level built into the collar to aid you to get the skew of the satellite dish level. But all in all it was a straight swap out and didnt need to get the satellite meter out to adjust it.

The GH6LB is a Hybrid LNB which means that it combines two different systems for delivering the signal from the satellite to different types of receivers. SUPPLIED WITH A COMPATIBLE BRACKET: Supplied with adapter bracket to fit MK4 Dish (built in spirit level) Fits Directly into the Latest MK4 Sky Dish Ideal for Multi Room Setups and Multiple PVR Setups Suitable for SKY Q ,1tb, 2tb, Freesat, Sky HD. I'm sorry for jumping into your conversation, but it seems something similar to what is confusing me. Superb friendly service received from Andy in assisting with setting up a new Tivusat box for a relative, out of hours as well ! Image is for illustration purposes only, as models vary although all are suitable for a standard Zone 1 or Zone 2 dish. The signal strength is much better and now I can record up to 6 channels at once (I have 2 boxes connected, a standard one and a UHD Freesat box). Copyright: All content, programme titles, trademarks, artwork and associated imagery are trademarks and/or copyright material of their respective owners. System settings/box reset/ reboot box resolved the issue ie now reports wide band lnb and successfully recorded 4 channels. When I had SkyQ, Sky replaced my LNB with a hybrid one so I could continue using my Humax Freesat receiver.

A standard Q LNB (the 'horn' on the dish) only has a single pair of cable connections, both of which are used by the main Q box. LNB – namely a Low-Noise Block is a receiving device mounted on satellite dishes used for satellite TV reception, which collects the radio waves from the dish and converts them to a signal which is sent through a cable to the receiver inside the building. Europe's busiest forums, with independent news and expert reviews, for TVs, Home Cinema, Hi-Fi, Movies, Gaming, Tech and more. The LNB (Low Noise Block) is the device mounted on the satellite dish that captures the satellite signal and converts it into a lower frequency signal that can be carried over coaxial cables to the receiver.Fitted in minutes (clamp is the same size as my original Sky dish, also original cables fitted with no problems). If you’ve switched from Sky Q then your dish is likely to have a wideband LNB and you will be able to record three different channels while you watch another, or record four different channels while you watch a recording you made earlier (or any programme On Demand). Unfortunately we are no longer able to support Internet Explorer, and the site will no longer function correctly with this browser. I read several reviews describing the install process but was slightly unclear on how to unclip my exisiting sky Q LNB for this hybrid LNB. I think the LNB on the dish was upgraded by the Sky engineer when installing Sky Q, does this mean it's no longer compatible with the TV with built in Freesat?

I wasnt going to get an installer out to sort the change of lnb as I expected it would be an unnecessary cost and it definitely was! You may have a Hybrid LNB which has 4 outputs for freesat so you could run 2 freesat devices that want 2 feeds. SkyQ requires a Wideband LNB which is different to the old Universal LNB used for Sky+ HD and Freesat. Only tip I would have for fitting is to take old sky wideband LNB complete with plastic bracket off the dish and compare the skew by eye with the old one as the markers on the new one arent as accurate as sky one.

Labgear products are designed and manufactured to high standards, ensuring excellent performance and reliability. For example, they say it works a dream, provides wideband lnb for the latest freesat 4k boxes and is easy to install. Check the condition and fit of all of the F plugs in the system as these are common points for connection problems to develop 2.
