About this deal

mil elliptical diamond stylus tip ensures that listeners are rewarded with an excellent quality of sound reproduction, detailed and crystal-clear, every single time. High frequencies are generally delivered with a good degree of clarity, although some recordings reveal a slight lack of focus and refinement. But this is where taste comes in, as I can imagine some people preferring the AT95E for its more gentle, easy-going character. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. The ATN95E Replacement Stylus essentially offers every listener an enhanced sonic experience without any compromise.

The AT-VM95 body also provides the opportunity to upgrade the stylus to more exotic profiles, providing a more scalable option than the AT95E. When accuracy and audio fidelity are of paramount importance, the ATN95E stands out as a true maverick, ensuring that listeners enjoy the groovy charm of vinyl records with sheer perfection, minus the hindrance of unwanted distortions. However, the fact that it is of diamond is not sufficient in itself, for its construction and shape are also crucial factors in sound quality. Treble: The treble is actually relatively restrained – definitely reined in from the AT95E and lacking the sparkle of the latter. The others I'd be interested in -- microlinear, shibata -- are really expensive based on what I'm seeing. Flip the headshell over and locate the flanges that protrude from either side of the ATN95E's green body.

Replacing a worn stylus is an important and economical way to keep your turntable operating at its best. Regardless of whether you're an audiophile or a professional DJ, incorporating the ATN95E into your audio setup promises to illuminate undiscovered soundscapes within your records, helping you 'hear the difference' in a tangible way. On the contrary, it is actually very nicely balanced, with the way the different frequency bands hang together being a big part of its appeal. To do so, rotate the headshell locking ring one full turn clockwise, which will release the headshell. The sweet and charming sound of the AT95E has been left behind for something bigger and more natural. By ensuring compatibility across the board, the stylus allows users to enjoy a seamless and immersive vinyl listening experience. You might also consider rethinking the solution — go to a conical stylus and see if that improves distortion. PayPal Credit is a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH.And if you don’t like the tip, it’s still a AT95E body, so you can get a top end stylus if you wanted. With superior clarity and richness in sound, along with a precision that stands unmatched, the ATN95E promises a truly uninterrupted music experience. Dynamics are good, and together with the weighty balance give the sound a sense of drama and scale, successfully conveying the emotion of the music – this is quite a departure from the polite, contained sound of the AT95E.

I don't think the new AT95E would yield any sonic improvements, and the microline and shibata replacement styli are out of my budget (especially needing to regularly replace them as they wear out). What it may lack is an endearing personality, which the AT95E certainly has, but this is a matter of taste and undoubtedly many people will appreciate the fuller sound of the AT-VM95E. To begin with, the first three ellipticals won't, seemingly, offer much improvement over the standard E, and I don't believe I have any use for the 78RPM Mono variant.

Such a low total capacitance is not easy to attain, requiring a phono pre-amp with very low capacitance, probably less than 100pF (after taking out cable capacitance). Unless it explicitly states in the product specifications most turntables do not play 78rpm records. And, yes, I know which pieces I play that have pressing issues or other problems such as tracks being cut too hot, but I suspect I can improve upon my sound with an upgrade.
