With true friendship overcoming adversity and goodness overcoming evil the characters are all well thought out, it has a great story line and even a few twists that I didn’t see coming. You’ve heard the saying “ you have to experience the bad to appreciate the good” and other such cliches.

Born on the south coast of England, growing up in Hampshire, Jason has lived and worked abroad as well as in various parts of the country and in the Scottish Highlands. A prequel to the hit TV series Scott and Bailey, and a chillingly authentic story of murder and hunting killers on the mean streets of Manchester. Found it a little hard to keep track of some of the ancillary characters (maybe because they were British, maybe because I was tired 🤷🏻‍♂️) but that didn’t take away from the twists and turns that prevented me from putting the book down!

Pearse also adds a sense of intrigue to her novel, with the inclusion of a well cast villain, who stoops very low in the actions he undertakes throughout the progression to Dead to Me. Tom, Tamara and the rest of the team are chasing down the murder of a most unsavoury character who’s body is found in a remote and unlikely place. If you want a book that leaves you with a'good feel factor' this is the one for you and also has the advantage of some facts about living during WW2, which I love. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars as it was a story I really enjoyed, however I save my 5 stars for something really impressive and that I just fall in love with. Friendship, women empowerment, suspense, murder… just a few of the many delicious ingredients in this delectable show.

Dead To Me is a heart-warming and evocative tale that is a real delight to read, if you are looking for a book to escape the demands of every day life for a few hours I would highly recommend you read Dead To Me. All she said was “Alice, when I get home from those things, I just wish I was invisible, so I pretend that I am. Somehow, the mismatched pair form an instant friendship strong enough to survive their parent's disapproval. She was an admirable character who never let things wear her down ad I wished she would find some sort of happiness amidst all the upheaval and outside forces at work.

These ciphers are a significant aspect of Alice and Annie’s relationship and also play a crucial role in the resolution of the mystery that underscores the entire text, allowing the reader to feel as though they are active participants in its conclusion.
