No waiver of any of the provisions of this or any Agreement shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be such and signed by both Parties. This takes away the fun of watching the mute performer trying to get them back to the word already mentioned, and it also deprives the better players the chance to do the "recap" motion, where the team - led by the person performing - go over what they know so far. The only bonus on offer is that every episode comes with subtitles; Making this show more accessible than ever before.

The SleeveWhen we describe the sleeve we are describing the printed paper cover or booklet that is included inside the case. And on one occasion he opened the show by reading out a letter of complaint about him giving the girls' team a much easier time. Many of the newer players seem far less au fait with some of the shorthands than one would expect, often mixing them up to the point of confusion. Many episodes are available online and I've fallen into the habit of watching an episode while nibbling my lunch. Back then, Jill's team was perhaps the strongest female team I'd seen because everyone was sharp as a tack and worked well together.

Watching some more episodes I've found myself thinking there's also less rehearsal time for the daytime version. The shows on this set feature a galaxy of celebrities, comedians and actors, including: Kenneth Williams, Diana Dors, Richard O'Sullivan, Barbara Windsor, Robin Askwith, David Jason, Yootha Joyce, Mollie Sugden, Paula Wilcox, Spike Milligan, Russ Abbot, Warren Mitchell, Kenny Everett, June Whitfield, Terry Scott, Dick Emery, Maureen Lipman, Beryl Reid, Rodney Bewes, Faith Brown, Paul Eddington, John Inman, Dudley Moore, Victoria Wood, all three Goodies and two Doctors Who! Most of these are for good reason, as they featured disgraced celebrities that were convicted under Operation Yewtree. Incidentally, the Gascoine/Goddard/Sewell/Nedwell episode ended with the male member of the public on the panel - a fashion designer named Leslie Dean - being given The Poseidon Adventure, but giving a rather bizarre mime by pointing at himself, indicating it was two words and doing the “name” head touching thing. In the second episode, he allowed the women two - perhaps three - titles that they hadn't even completed or blatantly had wrong (the most obvious allowance being Our Lodger Is A Nice Young Man instead of Our Lodger's Such A Nice Young Man).

Lionel cackling like Cesar Romero's Joker when he gets the final word is just wonderful, made even more so because of how he and Kenny are playing off one another, both on their feet and face-to-face.The majority of the episodes look so good, that I have to wonder why they haven’t been run on TV for a long time.

Not least Kenny Everett's legendary interpretation of Puck Of Pook's Hill at around 18:50 in this vid. The more I listen to the lyrics, the more I think they're actually very clever as well as very catchy, and makes a perfect theme as it's unforgettable. As much as Parky's avuncular charms brings a certain cosiness to the proceedings, there are now far too many rounds that are won only because he's handing them the answers. It seems Fiona and Paul are married, and there were some sickeningly cutesy in-jokes when each had to perform a title that involved the term "wife" or "husband" (ugh. While I was aware of the series back when it used to be programmed in the evening, my strongest associations are of watching it in the afternoon. By using this service you thereby indemnify this Company, its employees, agents and affiliates against any loss or damage, in whatever manner, howsoever caused. Within seven or eight years she'd be a name on both sides of the Atlantic and would have given us The Simpsons. One or two really struggle to keep from speaking for two minutes, and even Lionel Blair can frequently be seen unconsciously (or not) mouthing the word as he performs it. Eartha Kitt has the highest international profile of anyone featured on the daytime series - and quite possibly outdoes the big names in the evening version in terms of recognisability. It's playing almost constantly in my head, which has kept me buoyant through work days and chores, until I can get my next fix.

Then I watched all the Kenneth Williams episodes I could find (weirdly, I actually had no idea he’d ever appeared until a week or so ago).
